Hydromorphone Pharmacy Bandit Arrested
Since October 13, 2011, there have been seven Colorado Springs drugstore and/or grocery store pharmacy robberies involving a white male subject. In all cases, the suspect specifically demanded hydromorphone tablets and displayed a handgun or indicated by his actions that he was armed. In some instances he tried to disguise himself by wearing a wig or using a scarf to hide his face.
After the December 7th robbery of a Safeway pharmacy located at 6925 Mesa Ridge Pkway in Fountain, CSPD Robbery Unit detectives were provided information that led to the identification of a possible suspect. On December 9, at approximately 12:25 PM, NATHAN KYLE GASSER, DOB 10-24-89, was contacted in the parking lot of the Windmill Apartments and taken into custody. Evidence has been located linking Gasser to the robberies. This arrest clears the following cases:

In addition to the Colorado Springs cases, Gasser is a probable suspect in at least eight other pharmacy robberies. These cases include the December 7th Safeway pharmacy in Fountain Colorado and seven cases involving locations in Arapahoe County, Littleton, and Parker.
